We started Taste of Thailand with the knowledge that Denver area people would enjoy Noy’s brand of Thai food, emphasis on freshness so that individual flavors “stand up" . We hoped that the local corps of reviewers would eventually hear about us within the first 6 months or so. We thought that they would like us too. It turns out that we didn’t have to fret about reviewers for very long. It was a great surprise to us all that Westword’s Kyle Wagner herself came to dinner during our first week in operation. She wrote us a nice little welcome notice followed later by a full blown review-we passed. Our most recent “ink” in June ‘99 wasn’t ink at all. We were pleased to have Bill St. John in for his weekly restaurant review on Channel 4 as well as for his sidewalk.com page “Supper with St. John”.
Additionally, Taste of Thailand has been named Best of Denver during each of our first five years. The highest awards we achieve and the most meaningful reviews we get however come from our satisfied diners. Our “word of mouth” publicity has served us well.
The reviews are in....
Awards...Denver’s “Best Cooking Instructor” “Noy uses wit and charm in teaching others to make spicy Panang shrimp, curried fish or sticky rice with mango”
Denver’s “Best Thai Restaurant” “ Noy Farrell came to Denver from rural Northern Thailand, and she brought with her a passion for food that translates into potent curries and stir-fries. Check out the seafood clay pot”
